CitiGallery Art Show - Heather Allen

From May 15th through June 15th, Citibabes will be showcasing the artwork of Heather Allen, a graduate of Manhattanville College, who has a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in painting and graphic design. Heather continued her education at The College of New Rochelle and earned a Master of Art Therapy and Counseling degree.
Heather’s artwork has deep meaning for her, based on her cultural heritage of growing up in a rural state and evolving from French roots, which have shaped her view of the world. American artists have always traveled to her home state of Maine because of the ethereal, pellucid light. Heather prefers watercolor as a medium because it offers an ideal approach for expressing light’s elusive qualities.
Heather is particularly fascinated with the quality of light that makes the viewer pause and look more closely at a particular object or scene. Her work describes this suspended moment in time – it resonates with meaning, regarding the relationship that people have with themselves in a particular circumstance. She intends to create a starting point for viewers to find their own personal story in relation to her image.

Musical Magic Show

Join Citibabes for an exciting musical magic show with Banjo the Clown! Banjo loves music and has found that nothing excites kids more than hearing their favorite sing-along songs played on his trusty banjo. To add to the fun, he brings along a variety of musical instruments for kids to experiment and play along as he performs! He plays many of the standards like Wheels of the Bus, the ABC medley, Itsy Bitsy Spider, and a host of other children's' songs played in his unique bluegrass style. Along with magic tricks, bubbles, games, and balloon animals, it's a truly magical time to be had by all!

Dinosaur Workshop

Join Citibabes for an exciting dinosaur workshop where children can explore their love of dinosaurs! Children will learn about different types of dinosaurs when they become archeologists as they create fossils, dig for dinosaur bones and paint their own wooden dinosaur. This workshop will teach children about the different types of dinosaurs in a hands-on and creative environment.
